Everyone should have a no-holds-barred vacation in Las Vegas at least once in their lifetime, where they spend time relaxing, partying, and indulging in everything the City of Sin has to offer.

Here are the best things to do in Las Vegas:

Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas

Shop ’til you drop

You may be surprised to learn that Las Vegas has excellent shopping. Along with some of the higher end brands like Marc Jacobs and Dior, you’ll find plenty of outlet malls waiting to be explored so you’re sure to find a bargain.

Catch a show

If you haven’t been to a show in Las Vegas, you’ve been missing out. There are so many different shows to see, including musicals, comedians, Cirque du Soleil, and a mixture of all of the above. If you’re only there for a few days you may want to book tickets early so you can be sure to get good seats and make it to your favourite shows, or you can wait until you get there to find a good deal on last-minute tickets (although they may be in the cheap seats).

Visit the Grand Canyon

If you haven’t yet been to the Grad Canyon, now is the time to do it. You’re so close when you’re in Vegas, and the views are simply magnificent. Along with mule rides and hiking, one of the best ways to see the canyon is by helicopter, so take the time to see the Grand Canyon from the air and prepare to be impressed. Don’t forget to take a camera!

Stuff your face

Once you’ve seen the Grand Canyon, seen a show and gone shopping, you will have worked up an appetite. Lucky Las Vegas is famous for its buffets. With so many hotels offering the best buffets, consider staying in a hotel that offers some of the best food so you can skip the lines and pay less for lunch and dinner. Caesars Palace and the Bellagio are both top-notch, so be sure to go with an empty stomach.

Win some cash

While there are many reasons why people travel to Vegas, one of the best is the chance to do some serious gambling. It can be easy to lose your head around all the lights, cheering and noise, so give yourself a limit and don’t take your card out of the safe in your room so you’re not tempted to hit up the ATM.

If you’re new to blackjack and poker, many hotels have introductory classes so you can get your head around the game before you put down some money. Consider doing your gambling before you begin drinking so your decision-making skills will be sharp.

Go clubbing

The nightlife in Vegas is impressive, so if you really want to let loose, be sure to spend at least one night drinking and dancing in one of the biggest party cities in the world. Drink lots of water and don’t make too many plans for the next day!
